"This is a great hands on activity and introduction to insects for your preschooler or kindergärtner and even your 1st grader. l did this with my 6 and 4 yr olds. My 6 yr old had a lot of fun making the butterfly on the front with tissue paper but my 4 yr old gave up on this after a few pieces. They both loved the rest of the activities. One of the games inside is a treasure hunt for "bugs." You cut out the bugs and hide them. This was great fun for my children. We got to talk about letting their "light" shine like the fireflies. This lapbook is different from B is for boat in that it doesn't have an additional resource list of books or other activities but it is easy to find books on bugs or you can go outside and see what bugs you can find or just do this by itself. The supply list is complete so you don't need to worry about getting into it and not having all that you need. There are pictures to show you where to put the parts to the lapbook except the coloring pages. We still added them inside our books. If you are new to lapbooks or are looking for something fun that your kids will enjoy this is a great item to get."

" Thanks to Sharon Crooks for the opportunity to let me review "I" is for Insects. I haven't started learning the alphabet with my 4-year old yet, but it was fun for her to have her own lapbook. The butterfly cover was especially interesting and took up much of our time. She does love to work on crafts so this was right up her alley. The lapbook had a lot of pictures so putting it together was not so hard. Although we have not done the handwriting part for now as she is not yet writing. All in all, this is a good activity for preschoolers."
